Door handle to passenger side is broken and cracked. Can you fix it yourself?
Door handle to passenger side is broken and cracked. Can you fix it yourself? Can you buy some type of affordable, adhesive to glue it together? Or do you have to have a professional install a new door handle? If so, is it costly? Hard to believe a small, relatively cheap of piece of plastic could be be costly. Car model is a 2002 Hyundai Accent.
The handle was broken by using too much force to use it one day. It’s still partially attached, but you cannot use it to open the door. I really don’t understand why they don’t make all door handles of an unbreakable metal instead of the plastic they use. I noticed with other models that door handles are weak and flimsy too.
I don’t think you can actually fix your own handle, unless you know how to…either way…you will prob. need to go buy a new one…you can get them cheaper at a junk yard…that’s where I have to get mine, and the undercarriage of my seat that is stripped out…better than buying new when you can get it cheap!
Where i my door handle appeal no 2?
i woke up this morning to find that i could not get out of my flat. I called out my landlord as i thought my door handle had snapped. he sent someone round. when the door was finally opened we discovered that someone had stolen our door handle. why would anyone do this? i have a four month old baby and there is no other way of getting out as the windows are all 1st floor. wha if there was a fire???

Hello Bobby. I see one of two situations here. As the poster above me noted, more and more people have no qualms at all about stealing anything they want. That is just vandalism.
The second scenario is that this was done maliciously against you for personal reasons.
Just keep an eye open for anything else going on, or if you are having any disputes with neighbors, you might want to inform management of your building complex.

Make door handle not move?
We have double doors on the entrance to the 2nd floor master bedroom. One door on the right has a lock at the TOP, where you push up a latch, the other door you can lock at the door handle by pushing in the lock button. So now both doors are locked. On the door with the LOCK latch at the top, how do I install a door handle that we dont want to move. When the door on the other side closes, it will close into the latched lock door. I basically need to screw this handle in and leave it still. Any ideas?
